Hi guys just a quick question what the HDMI input for on the back of the motherboard is it just for audio or can it be used for video? without a graphics card? as building a new computer and waiting on my psu so using my old 600W psu which does not have enough 8pin power connectors for my gpu. want to be able to start the machine and install windows to see if the parts are good ect.

It's an output, not an input.
If you have a CPU with integrated graphics (currently all the non-Xeon Haswell chips do IIRC), you can use it.
