I was looking at someone elses benchmarks with their EVGA card and on Tomb Raider all maxed they got a min. of 42.7 fps and max of 80fps with an average of 60fps.

While my Gainward card had around 39.5. max at 62fps averaging at around 54fps.

My clocks are at 1150mhz core and 3650mhz memory while his are at factory. How come he gets more performance with his card on an identical build?

He's at 1900x1200 just like me. The only different hardware he has is the motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65. I have the GA-Z87X-D3H. I thought he had the UD3H so it was nearly the same. And he 2x4GB 1866 while I have 1 x 8GB 1600. I believe under max load mine was at 78Cish while his was lower 80C

I also believe that he has a new version of Win7 installed while mine has been installed for a while

single vs dual channel ram could be a factor, and a whole host of other things.

Would that really make that much of difference?

could do, 1/2 the memory bandwidth, it's going to have an impact somewhere

If the Card reach a specific temperare ( default 79) core clock goes down. It's the most logical issue you can have.
