We talking semi-modular or 100% modular ?

Full modular is kinda useless as it adds additional failure points, more expense and extra resistance since ya can bot build a box w/ for example the 8 pin EPS and 24 pin connectors. Most high quality PSUs today are therefore semi modular.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/power-supplies-psu,801...

The HX850 is a semi modular unit. It has better ripple and better voltage regulation than the AX860 which is 100% modular.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

But the AX series allows you to buy new cable sets or more easily install your own.

I do my own:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13929/slv-205/Bitspow...
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1760/ele-08/18_White_...

Or done for you in sets
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/18823/psu-cab-50/Cors...

I went with white in this example, many colors available

Well you can remove the connector ends and do it all from the free side..... just like ya do modular ones. But as I was saying.....if you are sleeving .....

Okay so I will just get the hx series and just sleeve the modular cables.

I just did abuild in the Corsair 500R and you can't see more than 1" of any of the cables, except for the two the PCIE cables you (SLI) but these are already sleeved, individually.....well all of them are actually

I wouldn't go near a 7970 ... especially now with Crossfire broken....I haven't used a AMD card over $200 in at least 5 years. I still use them in builds where GFX budget is $120 and below. But they don't go in any different than anything else.

Make sure you can fit a 3 slot GFX card on your MoBo w/o interfering w/ anything else ?

The card uses two 8 pin PCI cables..... for each card, take two of the cables labeled "PCIE" for the HX750 PSU, connect one end to the ports on the PSU labeled PCIE and connect the other ends to the GFX card.

DO NOT try and remove the card w/o using the lever thingie on the MoBo to release it
