I bought a high end gaming desktop on craigslist a few weeks back (i know, risky idea) It has been crashing when running games alot. I switched out ram, and that wasnt the problem, Switched out GPU and PSU and that fixed it (came from my other machine) Then i put the GPU back in but left the PSU from my machine in it and it still worked good. So im guessing either the PSU isnt giving the GPU enough power, or its just pooping out? The PSU is a Kentek 1050W which is a brand ive never even heard of and all the plug n ports are pretty cheap looking. Its a 1050w and didnt even have the capability to hook up to my gtx 690 for testing. Can anybody reccomend a good PSU for this setup? Cheap as possible but reliable. Thanks.

Buy a new PSU. Never heard of that kentec one. 650W should be enough for your system. I suggest the Corsair TX650.

I have never heard of that PSU company either, I wouldn't even trust it to power a calculator

Doing a quick search, that psu seems to be horrible.
I could not bear to sit through this youtube review:

Amazon reviewers have nothing good to say.

Change it out for a quality brand. A GTX570 needs 550w. I might overprovision a bit and get 600w or so.
Look to seasonic for top quality. Here is a 620w unit for $65. It should run a card as good as a GTX690.
