white screen after login

Hello, after login as admin the desktop will briefly show before locking out to a blank white screen with a working mouse pointer. Is this a security feature and how do I circumnavigate it?

Try Cnt+alt+del to see if any unwanted task is running if you dont get it go to run type msconfig then turn of all start up tasks and see if it helps and at last if that too does not work try to boot it in safe mode and see if runs fine.
