Are AMD's a rip off?

AMD processors are great for gaming. Especially now that the next gen consoles are multi-cored games will be programmed to use more than just 2-4 cores. Intel processors are more expensive and have better single core processing power though.

The title you posted there is asking for a flame war between fan-boys of both camps here, so I will get my word in first before it starts. The FX6300 is a very good value for money processor for gaming when paired with a decent GPU. It's not exactly a Core i5 beater, but its not £150 either and its still very very fast.
