Solution
1 - the case is good. Your case has all the features to look for these days: 120mm (avoid 80mm) fans, bottom mount power supply, USB3.0 port on front. Yes it will last more than a few years.

2 - yes that video card will run dual monitors no problems. While gaming they may act strange, but that's the game's programming and directX, not the card's decision

3 - I wouldn't buy a warranty for any of the parts, except perhaps the solid state drive depending on the reliability of that specific drive

4 - WD Blue vs. Black - they're negligible performance differences unless the specific models you're looking at offer 2 different SATA technologies (3 or 6) but even then you're talking shades and not bright bold colors. VS. your solid state...

Corsair 500R and TX650
$195 combo price - $40 in MIRs - $25 discount coupon = $130 .... $14 more than your combo and both case and PSU nice upgrades

Your paying $540 for last generation MoBo and GTX 770
This combo is current generation and also $540 an d gives ya SLI, soundblaster, Killer network
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1402273

Ya just need to budget ya CPU cost in there and we done
$230 gets ya a 4670k.....$30 more than ya budgeted
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116899

So for $44, ya get bigger / better case, equivalent case, huge mobo upgrade, current genertion overclockable CPU

-I just did build with that case Thursday night and ....

1. It's gorgeous ....pics don't do it justice.
2. Best cable routing in case that size I have ever used.
3. Very easy to work in, huge space behind MoBo.
4. Many cooling options.

-Socket 1155 is at "end of life". Better to invest in current generation technology so as to provide upgrade path.

I will take this into consideration, thank you!

I do not plan on overclocking, which is why I don't need a unlocked CPU.

4 - WD Blue vs. Black - they're negligible performance differences unless the specific models you're looking at offer 2 different SATA technologies (3 or 6) but even then you're talking shades and not bright bold colors. VS. your solid state drive they're almost identicle in performance as long as they're both 7200rpm and 16-32MB cache.

5 - you're SO CLOSE in price to an i7 4K with your i5 at $199, there's a 20% increase in performance moving to the i7 while it's about a 15% increase in price to $230: http://www.microcenter.com/product/383144/Core_i7_3820_36GHz_LGA_2011_Boxed_Processor

6 - I'm running modern games at max settings (World of Tanks, CoD4) about 40FPS with my OLD Intel Q6600 and a GTX460, but it depends on the games you're playing. That is a seriously smokin' rig you're putting together. Again, I'd put the extra $30 to hop to the i7.

7 - look for maximum eggs on reviews when looking, in short though, look for a x1080 resolution and a low MS response time, like 6ms or so. I prefer Samsung or Dell monitors, but I do recommend going for better picture quality over size, anything at least 22" or greater.

GOOD LUCK and congrats on being ready to move forward with your build!

Thanks for answering the questions! That's what I planned on subject with warranties and the monitor. How specifically do the dual-monitors act strange? I don't want to wear down the monitors.

so will the mobo/GPU work with my current build? if it's as you say last-gen then I should get yours.

I don't know where you're getting a 25$ discount but the case/PSU combo comes out to 155$ while mine is more near 115$ so unless you can persuade me that the items chosen are unable to perform then I think I will keep my current case and PSU.

already posted about the unlocked CPU.

Yes everything else works with that MoBo and CPU

The Hyper 212 is therefore redundant. No need for a 3rd party cooler on a stock PSU

discount code is on case page

As far as "able to perform"....both perform, its a matter of how well. Both will get you to work, but a there's a difference in performance between a Porsche and a Yugo:)

One has an MSRP of $60 that you are paying $60 for. The other has a MSRP of $140 which you can get for $70. The CM 500 is officially marketed as a "budget" case, the Corsair 500R is marketed as an "enthusiasts" case.

Getting back to performance ....

1. CM one has top mounted PSU .... feeding it all the heat from CPU and GPUs, Corsair is bottom mounted, pulling cool air in from outside

2. Corsair comes with:
2 x front-mounted 120mm fans
1 x rear 120mm fan
1 x 200mm side panel fan

CM has just one 120mm fan installed

3. Corsair has:
Six 120mm/140mm fan mounts
Four 120mm fan mounts
One 200mm fan mount

CM has six 120mm fan mounts, you can install a 140 instead of two 120mm's

Front: 140mm fan x 1 (optional)
or 120mm fan x 2 (optional)
Rear: 120mm black fan x 1 (pre-installed)
Side (left): 120mm or 140mm fan x 1 (optional)
Side (right): 120mm fan x 2 (optional)

3. Corsair has two front panel USB 3 connectors + Firewire.... CM has one USB 3

4. Go to the newegg pages and look at both case interiors
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119271
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139009

CM has no grommets, no easy access HD trays, doesnt appear to be any air filters, no top vents

5. Corsair has double the warranty

6. On the CM if you have SATA ports that face out instead of up (right angle SATA ports), you won't be able to plug anything into the lower ports, the case bends up and gets in the way.

7. Finally look at the reviews on newegg for the 500R ....395 people (69%) gave it 5 eggs
