Can my psu run a hd 7870?

Yes it will. The Silverstone Essential is a good quality PSU.

EDIT: You have enough PCI-e connectors. I was wrong. You'll be fine. Its enough to handle the card.

Thanks for the fast replies. I checked my psu and it has 2 6 pins already, its not separated though, its like 1 wire with 2 6 pins branching out from it. Is this enough for the 7870 or do I still need a molex?

Those 2 PCIe cables will meet your needs. No need for the molex adapter in your situation.
