Hey everyone,

A couple of days ago (3 to be exact) I bought a Diamond XS51 5.1 Extreme sound card. Just so I could actually get 5.1 surround from my surround speakers. So i installed the card into my computer, installed newest drivers for Windows 7 64-bit and it all worked fine. Until the next morning. I booted up my computer to hear a very distorted start up sound, and then double checked with some songs. It seemed that everything from system sound to songs was slowed down to about half speed. Even the test sounds for the speakers were slowed down.

So I immediately guessed it was my card. So I plugged my speakers back into my mobos integrated audio output and it all worked fine, Even found out I can get 5.1 surround sound from the mobo (re-purposed the mic input for center/sub).

But my question is, Can I fix the sound card? At this point I don't think i can return it (lost anti static bag it came in) and I don't like the feeling of wasting 20 bucks.
