My 760 freeze after 5-10 mins of gameplay..
Tried BF3 - usually crash\freeze after 2-3min
Tried AC3 - crash after about 5-10min
Tried DayZ mod (Arma2: OA) - crash after 10-40min
Tried Ace mod (Arma2: OA) - crash after 5-40min
Now you see.. I honestly dont know if the problem
is with these specific games or is it my GPU ?
I've been looking for an answer for more the 72 hrs now, and found none !
What I already tried:
1. Any of those drivers (Preformed clean install + Driver Sweeper and installing in SAFE MODE):
314.22, 320.18 (came with the GPU's cd), 320.49 and any beta drivers so far - 326.xx
2. Changed the TDR registry key - It actually helped a little. For example when DayZ is freezing it wait a little for the GPU to restore the game and doesnt just crash immediately.
But ovarall it did nothing, just delayed the crash a bit more.
3. Tried to increase the voltages a bit higher just in case 0.9000v wasn't enough.
(Didnt help one bit)
4. Installed only the graphic driver, without the PhysX and the other features,
and guess what.. Did absolutely nothing.
5. I read somewhere the RealTek drivers had some issues with Nvidia in the past
so I uninstalled the RealTek sound driver and install the Nvidia one.
Had no effect at all.
6. When in game the CPU and GPU tmps are barely scratching the 50c
so it isn't a overheating problem.
7. I re-installed my OS (Win 7 64bit) - but no help.
My monitor is 1360x768(native) 32' LED connected with HDMI.
My in game res is as the native as well, it means that the GPU is far from being
pushed to the limits.
Now here is my rig:
Intel i5 4570 3.2Ghz
Gigabyte GTX 760 OC
Asus B85M-g
Seagate Barracuda 500GB HDD
2x4 Crucial DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze 520W
Corsair 200R
I have 3 years warranty and I suspect that I got a faulty GPU.
I think I'll be able to replace it with a new one considering all the problems
that came with it.
But even before that I wanna be 100% sure that there is nothing else to do.
...
Now Im using the 326.41 driver
and the GPU in default setting, no OC utility or anything like that in my computer.
( *BTW* the Gigabyte AMD Radeon 7950 is slightly better and exspensive but I think I can afford it,
do you recommend it over the 760 ?)
Do u guys have any idea what can possibly be the problem ?
Thanks (and sorry for my poor english..)
