Should I buy a new monitor or use existing TV?

Hello,

I am looking into getting a new monitor and willing to pay up to £200 for a new one for gaming, but I would rather save money of course. I have a TV that I hardly use and would be used alot more if it was used as a pc monitor.

These are the specs for the TV:

Although if you think this is a bad idea it would be really nice if you could recommend a monitor for under £200.

Thanks.

Your TV looks fine. It has full 1080p, HDMI, and even built in speakers. 32" monitors with all that will blow your £200 budget. As long as the TV fits comfortably on your desk, there is no sense in spending £200 on a monitor that is smaller and has less features.

Ok that was what I hoping for, and yes it does fit on my desk so that's convenient.

Thank you!

To my knowledge a 1920x1080 at 32" is going to give you 68.84 ppi compared to lets say a 23" monitor at 1920x1080 which would be around 95.78 ppi that said games on the 32" looks fuzzyish/less detailed even sitting at the correct distance and ive tried using a hdtv for gaming and i quickly went to the 23" monitor due to how much ppi can be cramped and such. I would honestly recommend getting a pc monitor more so then using a hdtv but then again it depends on how far you trying to sit while gaming
