As your can tell from the LG 23EA53V-P spec's it is an IPS LED monitor. Where as the LG 23EA53VQ-P is a TFT LED monitor.

Depending on what your use your monitor. An IPS LED monitor will have a better colour gamut/truer colours; where as TFT LED does not by default have good colours (compared to an IPS), but, should have better response time: i.e. IPS ~ 5ms vs. TFT ~2ms, so it might be better for you if you are a FPS gamer.

Which can be found HERE: http://www.lg.com/hk_en/support-product/lg-23EA53VQ-P#. Scroll down till you see "OWNERS MANUAL", click on "English" for either DjVu or Adobe Reader (I use Adobe Reader). Open the file and under "SPECIFICATIONS" look at the spec's of the 23" version.

No this answer is obviously NOT correct! See the page http://www.lg.com/hk_en/monitors/lg-23EA53VQ. It obviously states it is an IPS screen... In fact Anti-Glare coating is very common on IPS. I wonder whether this is simply some regional product naming issue, while in fact they are totally the same. Compare the specifications on these two pages: http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-23EA53V-P-led-monitor http://www.lg.com/hk_en/monitors/lg-23EA53VQ/technical-specifications
