I recently did cable management on my computer and when I plugged everything back in and turned it on everything would light up like the LEDS and the PSU fan would spin. However it would not stay on for more than a split second.
It was working perfectly fine before doing this though and I didn't do anything drastic to it.
One thing I noticed was that my PSU has a 6 pin to connect to the CPU header and a separate 4+4 pin that I believe also can go in it.
My mobo is the GA-970a-UD3 and the CPU is the 965 BE and it used a Hyper 212 Evo heatsink.
Just seems kind of weird considering that everything does turn on but it quickly shuts off.

Sorry, the CPU pin connector is an 8 pin and I tried both that were connected to my PSU and it still does the same thing.
The weird thing is that if I turn off the power supply by switch it will turn on for a split second again.
