Okay, so I have done searching/googling and I have found nothing that can actually give me an answer to this.

"How do I connect three displays to two GPU" - and I am talking wires and where to hook them up.

I have:
2x 7850 2GB XFX GPU
3x Acer sh201l display

I have two of them hooked up via DVI cables, and the third - I just plugged it into the second card (because there are two beautiful un-used DVI ports on there) and it tells me no signal. How do I get this one set up. Do I have to have all three displays plugged into on GPU, because if so that is stupid... in my opinion.

At the moment I do have them hooked up in CrossfireX with eachother. But when I ask my computer to detect them it just shows me the two. Why is that?

Any help is greatly appreciated... I am greatly annoyed at the moment. Is there like a software i need to download or something? I mean, if someone can tell me how to do this without having to go buy a stupid adapter I will paypal you 10$ or something... I really dont care now... this is just aggravating.

Solution

At the moment they must all be connected to the primary card. It is possible to have them driven by separate cards, but not while Crossfire is enabled.

Fortunately, DisplayPort is dual-mode on the host and can drive Single-Link DVI-D. Get one of these

HDMI can also passively drive Single-Link DVI-D, but I'm not sure if that will work for Eyefinity

Soooo.... I need one of those stupid adapters? and they all need to run them all off of the first GPU (I cant use one from one and two from other)

And also, my display only has:
1 x HDMI
2 x Mini DP
2 x DVI

Yes. You must use display port from the first card for 2+ monitors. Note the adapter must be active. Like http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-006B-DisplayPort-Single-Link-Certified/dp/B004071ZXA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376789833&sr=8-1&keywords=accell I recommend these since I use them and they work. Spent $60 on other adapters that didn't work so I recommend these everytime. Obviously make sure you get the right size, either mini or regular DP to DVI.

edit: If you have DP on the monitor, just use that instead of a DP -> DVI adapter and save yourself $30.

So, if I buy one of these I can do one of these, and two DVI and make it work?
