Solution
In the US, the superior but less-often mentioned Xigmatek Gaia (it lacks the brandname recognition) is typically a lot cheaper than the Hyper212 EVO. Gaia vs. Hyper212 EVO:

Unlike the Hyper212 EVO (ignore the URL; it IS the EVO they tested), the Gaia never throttled, although it wasn't always the coolest depending on the fan used. Both got awards, but if you factor in the price, the Gaia wins hands down.

Find a good 500W-550W PSU and you should be set.

thanks for the quick answer and the bit about the fans, I'll check that out. but with a 500-550watt how much room for expansion would I have? should I get a 600W

thanks if I do get SLI in the future ill probably upgrade the PSU anyway. Oh by the way I heard that a more-watt PSU wouldn't actually use more electric unless the parts did, is that true? and thanks for answering

thanks I think ill try my chances though. but just out of interest what sort of problem did you have

The modular Corsair CX should be ok. Although they are all made for Corsair by CWT, the non-modular ones use some inferior Samxon capacitors that don't like heat and are known* for early failure. I wouldn't use one in a gamer.

*-badcaps.org has some information in their forums about these, and the first place I saw it was HardwareSecrets, a reliable site for information about the innards of PSUs.
