Will my system run battlefield 3 at medium settings very well at 1080p?

These are my PC Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
RAM: 16GB DDR3
Processor: AMD FX-6100 Six-Core processor
Direct Version: DX 11
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2GB
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
Power Supply: Corsair GS800
Hard drive: Seagate 500GB

If you can help me out on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Your FX6100 should be fine. BF3 is well rounded to work on multi cores. (source being own experience, upgrading my 960T from a 4x core 3.1 to a 6x core 4.0ghz. Same GFX card, but a significant difference in framerates.

Your GT640 however sucks. Simply put, that's a 'Media' card rather than a 'Gaming' card.

Within a reasonable budget, I concur with the above guy= the best upgrade path for your system if you are not happy with your performance would be a 7850. (which should also fit within your existing PSU specs too)

Also another good indication of how well your machine will run a game, there is a great website called:

Otherwize known as "Can I run it?." Please note, the website tends to prefer you using Internet Explorer.
