Hi,
I have an older Core2 Duo 2.8GHz PC with a Sapphire Radeon HD 4600 I've been gaming on for awhile. Today, when I started up World of Tanks, I noticed the texture quality was severely reduced (to the lowest possible quality I think). I verified in the game settings that the texture quality was set to "High". Then I started up Batman Arkham City and noticed reduced texture qualities there as well as choppy/freezing gameplay occasionally.
Before today, I didn't have these problems. One thing I noticed was some sort of notification referring to "ATI" I think in the Windows 7 taskbar that I unfortunately missed. I haven't seen this error again after multiple reboots. Maybe there is a log somewhere where I can view what this error message was.
Device manager says the display adapter is working just fine. Catalyst Control Center also doesn't indicate any problems. My driver was slightly out of date (mid 2012) so I updated it via AMDs website, but the symptoms didn't change.
Can someone point me in the right direction on what I should check and how I can fix this? Thank you very much.
