Hello everyone, I am looking to buy all the PC parts needed for a gaming and editing PC. I just wanted to know a few things....

1. Will all the parts listed below in the link will work well together?
2. How many USB slots will I get out of this?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1sUaS

Thanks for all the help :)

SLI generally gives u more value than single cards, although with heat and power usage drawbacks
in ur case a 690 is really 2 underclocked 680s on one board in internal SLI, however 770s are overclocked 680s so u will notice better performance, and power usage will be almost the same. In SLI the same data is mirrored in both the card's memories, which places the 690 to have an effective memory of 2GB while u can get 4GB with 2 4GB 770s and still save a 100$, memory bandwidth is the same for both, so that won't be a problem,
for the SSD u shoud go with an 840 Pro, the one u selected is an older, is too expensive for what it is, and an 840 Pro is currently considered the fastest in the market and u can get it in the same price

okay, and are 3 gpus needed for if ill only be using the game on one screen? or is that overkill? Also is what im saying even possible, where if you have 2 screens I can limit one screen to the game only, and the other screen for editing programs and the internet

3 way CF = heat+power+driver issues+bad scaling

If you're only gonna be gaming on one screen I think Two-way SLI/Crossfire would work just fine. You'd be able to max out any game with good FPS. But, really, go with the dual GTX 770s instead of a GTX 690.

looks good to me but u're over budget,
u can save money by going for a cheaper mobo in ATX
get a Caviar Blues or Seagates instead of Caviar Blacks
get the plain Phantom instead of the 820
that 860W PSU u selected earlier should be enough

4gb is waste if u dont run 4 monitors

this shud be ur built
