Well, it all started with the new Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 which I got as a gift. It has a minimum power requirement of 450W which was provided by a Cooler Master PSU. But the motherboard frequently switched off the computer after detecting a power surge. One day the computer didn't start at all, and after I switched on and off a couple of times, one of the capacitor in the PSU blew. So I bought a new CoolerMaster Thunder 600W PSU but it still shows power surge detected after a couple of hours. How do I correct the problem?

My PC Specs:
Asus M4A785T-M motherboard
AMD Phenom II x4 B55 processor (clocked 3.2Ghz) (takes 167.4 W power)
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770
12GB Ram

I also use a UPS for the pc. Should this cause any problem?

Also I think the previous PSU blowing up is my mistake as I accidentally switched it from 230v to 120v..
