My ISP provides internet connection through an RJ45 Ethernet cable to be plugged in directly into the Ethernet port of the computer.
I want to share the internet on two computers. I have an old ADSL modem+router with 4 LAN ports. The router does not have a separate uplink port for LAN but it detects a WAN network when the internet cable is plugged into any of the four LAN ports and the WAN led indicator on the router lights up. But when I connect my computers to the router I am unable to browse the internet. I can only reach my ADSL modem by typing the IP address 192.168.1.1
Can someone please help my configure my router?
Thanks in advance.
