I have a PC with ASUS Parts
y UAC is at the default level, my Windows firewall is at its default settings and my resolution is higher than 1024x768. not one app is working (including Store). I have read a lot of questions on forums and such and tried their solutions, but I can't seem to find one that would work on my computer.

Method 1: Clean Boot Windows 8
Method 2: I would suggest you to perform System File to fix the corrupted system file and then check if this fixes the issue.
Follow the steps:
a. Press “Windows Key + C” to open Charms Bar.
b. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box.
c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.
d. Type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.
Method 3: Reset Store Cache
a. Press Windows key + Q.
b. In the Search box type WSReset.exe and hit enter.
That should reset your cache for the store.
