I am set on getting the gtx 770 for my first build but i read on a forum post here that because of the 256 bit bus that you should only get the 2gb version cuz the 4gb cannot be fully utilized because of the 256 bus. My question, is that true and should i save the 100 and get the 2gb version then? Thanks in advance for the answer:)

Solution
I would save the money.
But, not for the reasons referenced.
So far as I know, there is no functional benefit, only a performance benefit from 4gb over 2gb.
And, that difference is minor.
Here are some tests using similar performing GTX680's.

Solution
Save the money, only scenario 770 could run past 2GB VRAM usage and still hold up a playable framerate is in SLI, and to go over that, you need multi monitor. Reviews even show 2GB vs 4GB even on 3 displays makes 0 difference most of the time.
