I am building a new PC with Core i7 3770 processor and ASUS P8B75-V motherboard. Now, I'm in search of a GPU suitable for my build. I've done quite a few readings here and the more I read the more confused I get. Mostly because performance varies from brand to brand and there are number of models available for the same card. So, I've decided to ask the straight forward question.

You sure you can't squeeze in a 7870 or a 7950? They perform much better and don't cost much more. The 7870 costs about $175 and the 7950 costs $210. They also come with free games increasing their value.
