This problem has been ruining my gaming for a while now, and I desperately need help. What happens is, if I try to play a game, (Any of my games, Online and Offline) the game feels very laggy. The thing is, I always have 60+ FPS. I have checked with Fraps and dxtory, and they have both confirmed this. I have bench marked, and that said the same. I have also noticed, the game's animations don't seem laggy, just the camera, like when I turn. The one solution I have found that works is turning v-sync on. However I don't like doing this, because of the input lag it creates. I would also like to point out that I have not always had this problem. The PC used to work fine, and play all of my games like butter.

Pc Specs:

i3 3220 3.2Ghz
Asus GTX 560Ti DirectCUII
8gb Kingston hyperx
320gb WesternDigital HDD
Corsair CX600 PSU
Corsair Carbide 200r Case
Asus p8z77-LX Mobo

One theory I have is that the HDD might be causing the problem. It is only 320GB, and it is quote old. The other day, it did clunk a little on start up, but nothing has happened since. (I don't mind if it breaks on me.) So I wanted to check on here before a got a 1tb Western Digital Caviar blue. Another thing that happens occasionally is when I am browsing the internet, (Browser makes no difference) and I have a few tabs open, my PC freezes for a few seconds, and then beeps once and is fine. Some times when this happens, the cursor goes green, and turns into random pix-elated shapes. Could this be a GPU problem?

ANY help you could give would be very much appreciated! And thank you very much for reading.

It's possible your monitor has a very high input lag; you would need to search the internet for reviews as very few monitor retailers mention this as part of the specification. Typically the more inputs/scalers the monitor has the worse this input lag is.

Thanks for the reply! I took this into consideration, and tried another monitor. But the problem was the same. :(

I have the same problem. I have high fps but feels laggy anyway exept with V-sync on but the input lag with V-sync drives me nuts. Dont know what to do. I have AMD FX 8350 and a GTX 770 which sould be good enough to not be a laggy pc. I have around 95 FPS on Bf3 ultra but it feels like 25 fps.

I am confused by your posts about V-sync causing input lag, but it feels laggy without V-sync? Is lag worse without V-sync, or with it? How are they different, because lag is lag and should feel the same.

It is possible your mouse is the culprit. You may need to increase the polling rate if that is an option, or just get a better one...What mouse do you have?

Oh thank god! You are the first person I have ever met who has it!
It is so hard to describe! I would say it is almost like a laggy blur effect. Is it the same for you?
