I'm considering to buy a B75 motherboard for an i7 build. I am not going to overclock the CPU or the RAM or anything else that is overclockable. I like things doing their job at factory settings. Also, I'm most likely not going to buy an SSD and I'm definitely not going to use SLI/Crossfire ever. The computer will be used mostly for web browsing, text editing, some gaming and a bit of video editing from time to time.

Question: Is there any reason whatsoever for me to consider anything above a cheap MSI B75 board? (G41 is the one I wish to buy)

Maybe it would be even better if you get an APU. It's very overclockable and the highest end one, the a10 6800k, is cheaper than any i7. The only thing is you need to get faster memory, preferably 1866mhz. And, of course an get an SSD.

Also, wanted to ask you if you are willing to go with a laptop, because you can get really good ones for not a lot of money. And for web browsing an gaming even a laptop is really good. Also it's portable.
