H60 (2013) Temp issues!

Hi.
I've recently bought a Corsair H60 pump to partner up with an FX8350 and I'm having some temp problems. My case is set up where by the stock fan that came with this cooler (SP120L I believe) is sucking air in at the bottom front of the case with the rpm dropped to around 900-1100 for better noise. The H60 itself has an SP120 Quiet edition fan pulling air from the outside of the case connected to the rear 120mm fan area, I have this set in the bios to be running at full the whole time, which is around 1400rpm.

Finally, on the top I have another SP120 Quiet edition fan as an exhaust. This is running at a lightly reduced rpm of about 900 because for some reason any more than that causes an unbearable case-rattle sound and I've tried loosening/tightening it to remove that. All this is in a Zalman Z11 Plus case.

My problem is that the temps seem to rise to really rather rubbish levels for a £60 cooler. I know the 8350 runs hot but it's a little ridiculous.

Idle temps according to SpeedFan and HWMonitor (CPUTIN bit) can vary between 30 and 36c. CoreTemp, Overdrive and the 'package' bit of HWMonitor seem to show false readings at like 12c idle.

Here's the problem, running Prime95 for a few minutes causes the temps to rocket up to about 60 or over, would probably go over if I did it for more than a few minutes. I mean, they rise gradually, maybe a degree or two every 5-10 seconds but it gets there eventually.

Everything is running on stock at 4ghz and going by the speed readings in CoreTemp it doesn't seem like TurboCore is kicking in to 4.2ghz.

Is there anything I can do? I've tried reapplying a new batch of thermal paste (AS5) after previously using the stock paste (which I hear was very good mind you) and temps didn't really change much at all really with that.

Oh and the pump is connected to the PWR_FAN header and seems to be doing its job, SpeedFan reads the rpm of that over 4000. It also takes around a minute or so to drop back down to idle temps after a stress test if that's normal?

Sound pretty normal. I run an H50 with two fans in push-pull and front and top fans like you, with an additional side fan (Sniper case). Prime 95, just last week, took my CPU up to 63C and it has been a little warmer when run previously. My CPU is the 8120.
I was actually able to make contact with someone at AMD last year after installing my CPU, and he told me that NONE of the monitoring programs actually measure the temp. of the core(s), that the best one he/they had found was CoreTemp (but it still didn't actually measure the core temp, but rather converts data from a sensor by way of a program), and that the only sure sign that you are reaching a critical temperature is the slowing down/shutting down of the CPU.
He is probably correct because the Max temp for my CPU is 61C, and it goes over that everytime I run Prime 95.
