Hello lovely people of TomsHardware

I have never been here before as everything has usually been answered :)

I need advice on a PC build please that I am starting from scratch, I'm after a desktop that will be used for average gaming, rome total war old and new version, league of legends, mount and blade warband, other steam games etc

Now this is what I would love the system to have.

i5 quad core if possible.
6Gb of ram
60gb ssd
usb3
single gpu with hdmi and >1gb
Standard black tower case that is mainly black, a cool looking one with blue or red LED's would be awesome.

And of course would need PSU, cables, HDD, DVD Drive but these can be anything.

The PC will be for web browsing and playing a few games, nothing too intensive though, want to spend £400 minimum and get the best for my money.

Is it possible to achieve all this for around £420? £470 maybe?

Thanks, will post more later.

UPDATE

I liked these cases, are they any good and will they work for me? Are they overkill or are there better options?

Should I go for AMD CPU and no GPU or stay with i5 and GPU? Are AMD A series CPU's as good for gaming as people are saying with no GPU? Or should I add a £50 GPU as well with them?

Do I need a CPU Cooler?? Should I overclock?

Ideally I just want the best i5 quad I can get, cheap motherboard, 60Gb ssd, 8Gb 1600 ram and a cheap fancy case with usb 3 and the best gpu I can get?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I kinda realised that, sorry lol

How about this? Should I consider OC'ing?

You would need a Z77 motherboard to overclock, and you would also need an aftermarket CPU cooler. Overclocking does help quite a bit on performances, depending on how far you manage to get on it.
But if you don't want to overclock, then don't get the K version of this processor.

This article has changed my view of dual graphics, but consider this new build.http://

The GHz version of the HD 7770 is cheaper than the normal version right now. Also, this case doesn't have front panel usb 3.0. The power supply that you chose is, on the first build, from a bad brand, on the second build, maybe too short on power. The motherboard that you chose isn't really good for overlcocking thus no need for an aftermarket CPU cooler. It would be a smarter choice to get 1600 MHz RAM instead of 1333 MHz.
