Hello Tomshardware. So I've been assembling this build for the last 3 weeks. And I'm going to buy everything during the next 2 months. So I just need you guys to help me maximize my choice.
This computer is for family use, so we going to do a lot with it. Like gaming(dota 2, far cry 3, transformer). And watching bluray, 1080p movies as well. I'm also going to burn movies into discs, so we kind of want it to run a bit fast.
I want to try overclock my CPU to 4 Ghz.

So, here are the parts:

Asus Sabertooth z87 - $249
Intel i7 4770k - $339
MSI Gaming gtx770 2Gb - $399
Corsair Vengeance 8Gbx2 - $128
Rosewill Capstone 750W - $99
Corsair h100i - $109
WB Black 1Tb - $89
Samsung 840 256Gb - $239
Asus DWR 24X - $18
Cooler Master Stryker - $149
1920x1080 resolution

My budget is around 1650~1800
I would like to know that is there any change that can possibly be made to shrink the budget? Did I make any error in assembling all thoes parts? Are they gonna work great together?.
Thank you for helping me :D. Sorry for my bad English.

-the i7 wont help you play games any better. only buy it for if you are going to do video work
-dump the scam tooth
-dont need that much ram for gaming. if you were rendering a ton of videos then it would be justified
-not as efficient but still built by seasonic and is a heck of a lot cheaper
-forget about cheap liquid cooling. if you are going to go liquid, custom is basically the only option out there
-the caviar black is no better than the blue in terms of anything but the warranty. at that price, i can easily get a seagate 2tb which is also faster and just as reliable
-the 840 pro has no real life benefits over a general mainstream SSD. spending 80 dollars might get you a...
You need a Blu-Ray writer instead of that $18 Asus DWR.

If you are planning to add a second GTX 770 later get an 850W PSU.

The WD Black 1TB is good, but the 2TB is a lot faster.

Getting the most expensive CPU and overclocking it is nice, but it may not do you much good in games. For great gaming performance you need to focus on the GPU more than the CPU. Maybe get a cheaper CPU, a cheaper cooler, forget overclocking, and get a GTX 780.

Everything looks good, You could take a little off the case and get a better PSU like Seasonic USA.
An OC to 4.0Ghz doesn't require water cooling. Especially if you can undervolt it. Blu-ray and gaming won't make your temperatures very high, The highest I've got while playing crysis 3 at 4.0Ghz was like 62C which is WAYYYY under the safe levels, and that was on a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO. Just 2 case fans. Haswell throttles the CPU at 100C AMD throttles at 63C I think.
If you can find the CM Hyper 212 X anywhere its just the updated version of the EVO. Noctua makes an air cooler that is on par and sometimes better than a lot of water coolers.
As for the case, I really like My Fractal Design R4 if you plan to go for a cheaper case and better PSU.
As for the Samsung SSD, make sure its the 840 PRO series.

-you cant watch blu-rays with a 18 dollar player
-you dont need a huge case and definitely not for how little hardware there is in this build
-for the monitor id suggest a pb238q from asus. nothing really beats it if you want a solid IPS panel with a extremely solid stand for under 200

If you got money to spend, get the good stuff, if not BIGTROLL has their points.
Also If you want to burn the movies you pirate, because thats the only way I know of burning movies lol then yes you would need a Blu-ray Burner. Blu-ray discs are also very expensive. If you just download and watch your tv/movies then you won't need a burner.

If you are aiming for 1080p gaming, a 4770k is overkill, as is a 770 2GB.
CPU - 3570k USD220
VGA- 7950 ( i like His IceQ Blower, that allow you to crossfire without watercooling blocks), a 7950 is also overkill for 1080p gaming.

I agree with previous comments on your cooling and PSU needs. Instead of spending tons in watercooling, cases and mobo, put your money towards a bigger and better monitor, at least a 24" 120Hz or a 27" 1440p. Nothing you intend to do with this PC needs more than a 3570k , and that chip OCs to 4Ghz on air with a USD30 cooler like a hyper 212 evo.

The price you pay for a 770 will be very close to crossfire 7950s, but a single 770 is only 13% faster than a 7950 boost.

The 7950 is not overkill for 1080p.
With your budget get whatever you want. Like I said, if you got the money to get the best, why settle for less?
You could get the $309 Sapphire 7970 at newegg + 3 free games of your choice.
FarCry3 on ultra on 1080p a 7950 would not be overkill.
