Can I fit SLI 760's and a Sound card into the Maximus VI Gene?

First off is a dedicated sound card worth the money compared to the on-board audio? And if so, will I be able to fit SLI 760's and Sound Blaster Zx on the board?

If you add an xtra 760 itll cover up the extra PCIe slot. You could however maybe get an PCIe extender and use that if your case is big enough. Dedicated sound cards are well worth it if you have a good pair of headphones or speakers

So if I ran my Logitech Z623 using the on-board audio that would be fine? And I was thinking of going to the Hero and going Mid tower instead of Micro. I am using this system mainly for Graphic Design but I still do intend to game frequently when possible. As for the Formula I'd rather not spend $300+ on a haswell board as I'm looking forward to Ivy-E and would like to purchase a 4930k when I am able.

The solution that i came up with, considering I have the same dilemma (though not yet implemented), would be having 2 single slot cards which incidentally comes in the form of the AMD HD79XX series + Swiftech's Komodo Series (gives you a free single slot i/o plate and vga backplate for free) IF you are opting for a custom liquid cooling setup. Your best bet for air would be Afox's single slot AMD HD7850 which is downright sexy (not as sexy as XFX's HD7750 single slot edition though) and benchmarked quite well with impressive review(s) but good luck with finding that card.

My rig: i5 3470K@4.2, Asus Maximus V Gene, Gainward GTX670 Phantom, Asus Xonar Phoebus (beats the hell out of the mobo's built-in audio), corsair vengeance 16gb, corsair ax650, crucial m4 120gb, 2x 1TB HDD, Silverstone FT03B, Corsair H80i.
