Hello all,

First of all, Ever since I built myself a new computer, I have noticed a major increase in FPS, and with that I also gained a major increase in a new concept to me: Screen Tearing.

So, I don't know much about monitors, so I'll let you guys do the work.

Here is what I'd like: Little to no screen tearing on all my games, at least 24", around $200 USD (Give or take $20). And Just for reference, Bioshock Infinite is the game with highest framerate, peaking out at 140.

Thanks in advance,
Mitch

EDIT: Forgot specs:

AMD FX-8350 @ 4.4Ghz + Corsair H100i
EVGA GTX 670 FTW
ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0
Corsair CX750M
G Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB @ 2400Mhz
Samsung 840 120GB
WD Caviar Black 1TB
NZXT Phantom Full Tower

More about : selecting monitor gaming 200 usd

I's $50 over your budget, but worth it. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/?tag=pcpapi-20

Some people say that this is the best 24" monitor for gaming, it has a 1ms response time, 1920x1080p resolution (which is usually preferred for gaming) and a 144hz refresh rate. Obviously, it is gonna be hard to make use of that, but whatever. Most negative reviews about this thing (There were practically none) mentioned anything about any screen tearing. Another way to prevent screen tearing is to enable V-Sync at its highest level and limi FPS.

I had looked at that one, and almost purchased it, but I decided that It was still a bit more than I would like to pay for a monitor. If it went on sale, I would definitely buy it.

Well then, this would more than likely be my second choice:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It doesn't have a huge refresh rate, which you can sacrifice, it has a 2ms response time and is 1920x1080 resolution. If you act quickly you can get it for $20 off with a promo code, and there is also a $20 MIR which will bring the price from $200 to $160.

Alright, I think I'll grab it. How much of a difference will I see between that and my old HP LP2065?
