files won't Mount...help..

Sorry, there was a problem mounting the file...this is what it says every time I try to mount something is there a way to fix this?????...it was working before I did a fresh install of windows 8 pro..

I had win 8 pro on a HDD I got form a friend and it worked great on my PC for a bit then became corrupted so I got the win8 pro OEM disk and did a fresh install. Back up cd...do you mean the CD I created for a recovery drive??
