What I have picked out so far - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1tngS

If I am using this monitor...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313

and I have 2 of those monitors in extended mode, and I game on the right screen and use internet on the left, are (2) GTX 780 SLI Overkill?
and if it is Overkill, is that a bad thing? like if I am playing BF3 with 2 of those gpus and only on one screen will it be okay?

Also, if something is overkill, will everything still work properly?

Solution
Be sure to pick up a copy of Crysis 3 to get the most out of that setup.

Even Battlefield 3 will benefit, since you're playing on a 144 Hz monitor.

If something is overkill it will do everything at an overkill level. That right there seems overkill for the use. You shouldn't need two 780's, just one. I'd recommend a 3570K or 4670K instead of the 3930K also.

Edit: You shouldn't need that much RAM either, unless you are doing something other than gaming that will need it. 8GB will be enough.

This is all by far overkill. GTX 780 sli for just a 1080P monitor is just ridiculous and if you're just gaming then that CPU is far FAR overkill too. If I were going to get a setup like that then I would at least be sure to get 3 monitors to game with.

I need the 3930k for editing. um just to know, will everything work properly if I have (2) 780's
will I see an increase in FPS if I keep the (2) 780 SLI over a single 780 in my build?

High End Gaming Workstation PC Build ?That's a very nice build bud. That will run everything at ultra settings with anti aliasing enabled as well. It also be great for video editing rendering, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas, etc. It's all compatible so no worries there.

That would be enough in my opinion but if you can afford it then by all means get the best hardware you can get. This is just what I would consider a good bang for the buck type of build. It would be plenty for gaming on your monitor and also it would be great for editing too. Sure a faster CPU would be better but you're really paying a whole lot extra for that small gain.
