what new features will be in amd kaveri to make worth buy it

hello i wish to know what new features can be expected to see in kaveri amd. will it be using new mobo than am3+.

also is it the entry level of 4th gen amd, so that i can keep my cpu futuristic since i need not buy new mobo( in later years may be in 2017) but just change cpu when prices fall down of kaveris successor ,( tht's why i am ignoring amd fx8350 ,fx 9590, fx 9370 being the last of 3rd gen)

if kaveri holds on fm 1 , will its future successor run on fm 2 socket, if so can kaveri run on fm 2 socket as well . in that way i can buy mobo of fm 2+ and save imoney for future processor
just thinking to buy amd coz its cheap and saves budget and keeps me futuristic too . let me know if its right way what i thought

What you have to understand is that kaveri will have no impart on FX. You still want FX for desktop generally. If you've been holding off on those FX CPUs, you shouldn't. Kaveri doesn't replace them, kaveri replaces the "A" series APUs. These will not be high-end CPU only parts for desktop. If you want what kaveri has for FX, then wait for steamroller which is rumored for Q1 2014. It uses the same core design as kaveri, but is designed for using a dedicated GPU. I hope this helps.

yess so kaveri is available in a10 amd but for fx kaveri amd i have to wait for first q1 of 2014 is it.. i want to know what will be its price like , i mean will it hold good for all those my points i put in my questions . please give me in depth detail ty

Your points are not very clear. Kaveri will have between 2 and 4 steamroller cores paired with a GCN GPU and will feature advanced HSA support. It will run on socket FM2+ for desktop. Steamroller FX will feature 4-8 steamroller cores, will not be HSA compatible and will probably run on socket AM3+. FX is the enthusiast chip, while kaveri is the everyday chip. High end users do not need the iGPU, so lots of the chip is wasted potential. That being said, it may be able to CF with the likes of the HD 7750 or 7770. Kaveri will ship to consumers in Q1 2014 but will launch for OEMs in Q4 2013. Both kaveri and steamroller FX should follow the current pricing model by AMD. For example 8 core steamroller will take the play of 8 core piledriver FX. This is not for sure though. I don't know what else you need to know, but feel free to ask!

after i read your statement i am really confused coz i thought kaveri is steamroller. i really like to put it in technical way to you but before that can you put some forum link page about kaveri and steamroller in brief so tht i can study and post you my questions , just to make clear myself ty vm kiri

When I say steamroller I mean steamroller FX. Sorry for any confusion. This forum, to my knowledge, does not have anything much on that. Google searches will probably help you much more. I hope this helps.

For single threaded it should make some serious leaps, but I doubt it will catch Intel. However single threaded compute is becoming less and less important.

I would not say Kaveri is just an everyday CPU. The point of HSA is to use the GPU to assist the CPU in tasks in which it is best suited eg parallel workloads. In this sense, Kaveri could perform much better than both FX and Intel packages. We will have to wait for benchmarks to understand Kaveri but it could be very interesting.

I'm new, but not that new. Question, when was WiFi invented. If you said 1940's, you're correct. Digitize the cathode input to the klystron based on PRF settings (tank circuit) 40khz. When was the first functional hands-off WiFi in a military aircraft? F-14 1975.
Believe it not, I worked on both, from old RF/TWT tubes to advanced Wifi from 1980 to 2002. What's the point? I've really disturbed at the lack of intelligence in deciphering between systems. A88xm, FX, A10, 990X, 970X, threading, no threading, kaveri, steam-snot, ivy bridge, generation-x or whatever.
Now, I run linux, because most of our old troubleshooting benches/gear ran on UNIX and pre-BSD. Windows 7 and Windows 8 are trash. Yes, I support OpenGL, QT4/5, GTK3 and Xorg. But in the development of winki as part of mobo bios, this give me hope.
From now on, I want a pure and clean explanation on all systems, I don't want see any oh-by-the-way, or I forgot.
You guys have some great benchmarks, but with BSD or Linux, finding compatible kernels/documentation is based on Microsoft-bias. I hate ubuntu because of Canonical, but the threat of open-source does more to combat the greedy patent trolls.
As a project, lets put kaveri 64 to the test with 64bit Debian on an Asus a88xm-a, or FX-6350 on whatever AM3+ 990X motherboard loaded with 64bit FreeBSD. My ultimate goal is to get Codeweavers off their ass and fix the coding problems between x11, GTK and QT4/5 to make Linux competitive.
So, let's concentrate on being exact, truthful and UNLOCK those chips to encourage some awe-inspiring hacking!!
