Hi guys, okay so i have an

Intel i5 650 3.3 ghz
2gb ram :(
HD 5570

I am looking to upgrade to 10gb of ram. And also my biggest concern at the moment will be bottle-necking. I wanna get the EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX and a 650w psu as well. I would say its a big bump up from my HD 5570. I have been reading around that an 1st gen i5 cpu might bottleneck this. From my understanding, bottleneck is when ur cpu is under full load when ur gpu is not? like for example cpu is at like 99% usage and gpu is at like 60%? will that happen if i get a that GTX 770? Because when i run BF3 on my cpu usage is at 60%. Does that mean if i get the GTX 770 the cpu usage will be the same at 60%. or does it mean that a newer graphic card will require like per say a better CPU? Someone please shed some light and help me out please.

You'll certainly be CPU bottlenecked in some cases, but that CPU still isn't too bad. I'd grab the 770 and not look back, it's like 10x more powerful than your current card. You won't be concerned with "Oh crap, am I bottlenecking right now?!?", you'll just be blown away by amazing performance. And then when you do upgrade your CPU, you'll get another great increase in performance in a bunch of cases.

It is tolerable. In 64 player mode or bf3 in general i get around 30 fps on 1280x 720 on like low settings. So its not too bad. My gpu usage is maxed when i play bf 3. Cpu usage hover in the low 60s. Games like fc 3 my cpu usage is around 40%. Crysis 2 also around 40-50%.

If i were to get that card would i be able to play on ultra at like 70 fps? That the results im seeing from youtube videos or will my cpu hold me back.

The lower your CPU usage right now, the greater the increase you'll see in frames with the new card. It's probable that you're GPU bottlenecked in all those games right now, and also that you'll be fully CPU bound after the upgrade.
