So I originally had a 7870 installed, and i wanted to get a second one. The software and everything had been installed with the first one. So i got the second one, do i have to uninstall the software and re-install it, or not? If so, how?
Most suggest to uninstall the drivers install the card and re install the drivers. Personally I have never had to do that with any card I have Crossfired or SLI'ed I have just installed the card connected the Crossfire/SLI Bridge plugged the power connectors into the card and boot Windows up and Crossfire/SLI has been detected and went from there. But to be safe you should do as suggested I just personally have never ever had to do it.
Yes, you have to uninstall drivers, then install another graphics card and install drivers again
But they're the exact same graphics cards. Before and after. I bilt the rig myself with a sapphire 7870, and then later decided to add another sapphire 7870.
