I've been having troubles for a few months with my build, about varying from once a week to once a month it sometimes refuses to boot for the whole day. It would switch between the computer not responding at all when I press start, or it would open for one second, close, open again, close repeatedly until i forced it off. It would stay like this till either the end of the day or the next day, then it would run normally until the next time. I tried reinstalling windows 8 (custom) and it still does the same. Any idea what can be causing this? My PC is also plugged into a power strip (standard, no surge protection) and there are some powercuts.
