The Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell (4770k) CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V).

Have yet to hear of a 4770K that can't handle a minimum of 2666, even 3770K can handle that.....as long as it's not a cheapie mobo, there should be no problem....as far as Intel they ALWAYS just list their bare basic specs and also tell you they don't support OCing a CPU - "it voids the warranty", so why then do they make OCable CPUs....even the 4670Ks can handle 2666....2400 is no biggie for a K series CPU..........

My question is, in theory, I can go DDR3-2133 cas 9 as stock clocks with Maximus VI Formula?

Thanks,
Marcus

I edited my thread as I read some other posts similar to my question. I might get the 2133mhz and try it anyways - if I have to undervolt, well, I will.

Unless someone has personal experience on this and suggests otherwise?

You should have no trouble. I ran 1.65v 2400mhz with my 3770k and now run cas9 2133mhz at 1.6v with my 4770k. Never had a problem. I do however have to drop the voltage and clocks to OC at 4.5ghz, 4.4 has no issue. It's something I'm still working on.

I should be good OC'ing up to 4ghz atleast :)

Depending on your 4770K can possibly run the 2133 sticks at stock CPU, I myself would OC it, at least to 4 GHz, but if you want to drop to to 1866 can also drop voltage to 1.6 or even 1.55 it all depends on CPU and mobo combo

I'll OC to atleast 4ghz (build). I just wanted to make sure I can run it before overclocking and if it'll stay alive when I do ^^
