PS3 costs £150-250 depending on hard drive size
PS4 costs £350
PC to match the PS4 would cost £870

If i get PC then i can get any game for free by downloading them, and i would play a lot more games that i wouldn't buy if i bought a playstation.

But since the cost of a playstation is lower, i would just go buy the game, as the cost of the console plus a few games are much lower than a PC. If i do get a playstation, i won't get as many games, i would just get Saints Row The Third, GTA 4, and GTA 5, because they are good value games with years of fun!

So in terms of cost, which should i get?

in the long run the pc is the better option as you can do more with it and with higher frame rates, higher texture quality, larger numbers of players in multiplayer on larger maps while playing games and the true resolution you set the game to being used, also anti aliasing being an option to smooth edges as well as the vast mod support of the community.

also it does not need to cost £870 to match a ps4.

also in the long run, games are cheaper with the pc and your open to a vast array of free to play and indie titles.

you also forget that you need to factor in the cost of your television with the cost of the consoles since like with buying a monitor with a pc you need a tv for the console.

Console is more of a gaming thing ... That is, you can't play anything else other than Battlefield 4 with it.

On the other hand you can play Pokemon Ruby or lots of porn games in a PC too. ;)

+1 to Pokemon Ruby (Or porn games, depending on your level of creepiness).

Alright enough fun. So well, basically as you can see, I am with a PC due to best first person shooter aiming support.

You can aim much precisely with a mouse than with a joystick (Even with auto - aim). Also, no matter how strong a console is, it is always on par with a mid tier PC at the time of launch. A Core i7 4770K + GTX Titan system is like 4 times stronger than a PS4. The results are also noticeable, at least with PS3. Most of the games run at 30 FPS on a PS3 due to low TV refresh rate and it also could not play games on anything higher than 1280 x 720. Also many of the special effects and particles in many games were missing in PS3 versions. On the other hand, every game ran buttery smooth on a PC with incredibly fine visuals. Lots and lots of eye candy and simply a joy to watch.

Playing is also quite easy on a PC due to great precision and a keyboard for individual commands. Its not that it just plays games, but does everything a console can not do. Its all in all a great machine to do anything.

Also, keep in mind that you are on a computer hardware website .. if it makes any difference. :)

I run a Calecovision into a seiki 4k tv for all my gaming :sarcastic: your question, as phrased is like asking "what's better, a 1969 dodge charger or purple". Seriously, Go with whatever YOU want.

Also, this is a PC enthusiast forum, what did you think the answer would be?
