Building a Micro ATX gaming system - how are these components?

My existing HP Pavilion m9100z (Phenom 9500 Quad-core 2.2GHz, 3GB ram, 32bit Vista) has finally crapped out. It needs a new hard drive, a video card upgrade and I don't have an operating system to install when the drive is replaced.

For days I've been at pcpartpicker, and other reputable sites, for days, reading articles, looking at comparisons, blah blah.

Falcon Northwest has a small form factor called a FragBox. Since Shuttle first came out with the small factor system I've loved the concept of them.

The FragBox with entry level components, accept the drive which was upgraded to ssd (+$33), is $1,692.

I don't play Crysis 3 but I'd love to see how it would run on it.

99% of my game time is on flash games (kongregate.com). Otherwise, it's mostly surfing, checking email, work on spreadsheets and documents, listening to music.

My questions are standard questions. Do I need as much hardware as selected? Are their marginally lesser components that are significantly less expensive? Is there a better route to go than the configuration I've selected in emulating the FragBox?

I've been out of the loop for a few years, the last computer I built was in 2000, so I welcome any thoughts, comments, and constructive criticism's on, well, anything in my perspective build.

Thanks!!!!
