Using these components
(Motherboard) ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z
(CPU) AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz
(RAM) (2) G.Skill Ripjaw X DDR3-1866 8Gx2
(GPU) (2) Radeon HD 4850
(PSU) 750w 80+
(HDD) old 512GB hard drive, still has the info from my last computer on it

I've reseated everything at least 20x and the problem persist, it refuses to post. I've tried contacting ASUS and they cant give me any info other than "Everything should work" please HELP!

Solution
Powering on, in your case, just spins the fans up and initiates the HDDs. The system is not booting from the descriptions provided. IO initialization is usually tied to the IO devices (floppy, IDE/SATA adapters, etc).

i want to make sure that all the ports on your motherboard are first plugged in - the 8 pin, 2x 4 pins on the mobo, the 24 power supply pin. From there use only 1 stick of ram and 1 gpu. tell me if problem persists

all the power plugs are connected properly and i currently am only using 1 GPU and 1 stick of ram, everything lights up, spins ect ect. but to no avail... no video. and there are no Beeps with this mobo. it has a digital clock kind of deal at the top i get an Error code 99 "Super IO Initialization" no clue what that means.

Disconnect all power sources (power cable, monitor, powered speakers, etc). Press the power button to discharge any stored residual power. Then, pull the motherboard battery (this resets the BIOS to its default state). Re-insert the motherboard battery and reconnect all cables and try again.

Has this system ever powered on?
