You guys helped me out big time 6 years ago and the machine stood the test against time. Going to give my OLD PC to my parents so they have something to use.

Using a ASUS VH236H Black 23" 2ms Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor and Windows 7.

Plan on using this for FPS/MMORGPs.

In no real rush to build this, if there are deals/new products coming out happy to hold of to save a few bucks. That being said I want this machine to last as long as possible, rather spend today to save for tomorrow.

Have a few big questions regarding what I threw together...

1) CPU

Jumping from the i5 to i7.

2) Ram

8gb (2x4) to 16gb (2x8)

1333 to 1600

3) Graphics Card
Is it worth it to go down on the CPU, RAM and spend that money on upgrading the Graphics Card?

Really do appreciate the responses and hoping to pick up as much info as possible from this community.

Here it goes..

Solution
for gaming you really don´t need to spend extra money on i7 ...
also 16gb of memory is waste of money , since most games still don´t utilize more then 4gb ...
get 2x4gb kit of memory...
if you don´t want to go sli in the future 750w power supply is overkill...

get gtx770 for extra money you save...

The 770 requires 600w of power, and the mother board is 77, why would I go down?

What do you think of this,
