It's not 120Hz, its 60Hz. It uses passive 3D which...
If you were looking at doing Nvidia 3D Vision, here is the list of supported monitors and hardware:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-system-requirements.html

The first monitor is not listed as being supported, but it is very close to the one that is listed. I'm not sure if this list is fully up to date, however. If you were interested in 3D gaming, forum user "Bystander" is an expert that you may want to send a private message.

i won't be doing 3d gaming but since its a 3d monitor i'm expecting that it should be at least 120hz and make for a smoother gaming experience? i'm not positive tho

It's not 120Hz, its 60Hz. It uses passive 3D which shows the two different images on alternating horizontal lines of pixels, active 3D refreshes twice as fast and shows the image on the full screen, hence the 120Hz.

ah. that's what confused me, i thought in order to display 3D all monitors need to refresh twice as fast. Guess i learned something new today =D

Then between the 2 other displays which one should i go for? the higher contrast ratio and IPS or the faster response time?
