  1. Yes, laptops run a lot hotter than desktops, so mid-50s for light usage is normal.

Really?? im a bit nervous to see that flaming image by doing nothing special....
And if i play a game, let say team fortress 2, how much is max heat when it becomes too dangerous?
  3. If it gets above 80C, then you should slow it down a bit. As previously noted, laptops run hotter, naturally. Also, you have an Ivy Bridge CPU, and ivy bridge runs pretty hot anyway. (However, it can run hotter, safer.)

That icon is there regardless of what the temperature is. Keep it under 100 and you'll be just fine (absolute max is 105):

  5. hmm okey thanks, glad to hear its normal... i was afraid for a second that this new laptop already has some kind of heating problem...
But i will try to play team fortress 2 as soon as its downloaded and i will return to you guys and write how many °C it is
  6. It's completely normal. I have an Asus laptop that runs mid 60s in regular usage.
