I have been looking for a good internal dual band (N or AC better yet) wireless card that I can put inside my laptop. I also wanted bluetooth connectivity.

My searching has left me picking, primarily between the Bigfoot Networks KillerN-1202 - http://www.amazon.com/Bigfoot-Networks-KillerN-1202-Notebook-Wireless/dp/B008H5V9ZU

And the new Intel Intel 7260HMW IEEE 802.11ac Mini PCI Express Bluetooth 4.0 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106190

I wanted to know which one of these you guys think is better in terms of speed/reliability/ and range. I am also free to any other suggestion any of yo might have.

I should also mention that my current router is dual band capabale but only supports up to Wireless N.

Hi

I expect wireless range depend on what aerial wires you have built into the laptop.

Most have at least 2 wires but some replacement wireless cards have only 1 aerial connection.

(those two have 2)

I tried upgrading a netbook with a wireless n mini pci-e with one connection but after a short trial went back to the old b/g card using 2 aerial wires

also check if the laptop takes mini pci-e or half sized mini pci-e cards

regards

Hello Mike Barnes,
Thank you for your response. It seems my current wireless card is a half Mini pci-e (Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230) it has a 2x2 connection but only offers a single band, which is why I would like to upgrade it to dual band whilst still maintaining bluetooth and dual recievers.
What I was originally trying to ask was, which of those two cards I listed is better; or is there some better card i have not stumbled upon.
