FSX speeding it up

Which is more likely to speed up my frame rates in Flight Simulator x , faster memory or a second video card in sli mode ? My system is:

i7-3770k 3.5ghz
16GB 1600Mhz ram
msi gtx 670 2GB video

Please help!

RAM, as long as you have two ram sticks at 1600 is fine. You can only gain a percent or so in speed.

From the limited data you gave, go with a second 670. But you should tell us what your motherboard and power supply is. Also you may consider overclocking your CPU. What is your CPU cooler?

install FSX onto an SSD, it is a HDD read heavy program as it streams in new content from the HDD, it can improve your fps massivly as it has less waiting to do on grabbing content from disk.

Thanks. I have a 850w power supply and running the i7-3770k OC at 4.4Ghz. My
cooling is a coolerMaster tower witha asus z77 motherboard

best thing would be an SSD, get a samsung 840 250GB

thats only the interface speed a HDD is a lot slower than an SSD when it comes to actual reads and writes.

did you get an SSD in the end?
