I ordered a new thor v2 case from the newegg sale and I'd like to know how to keep the HDD good when disconnecting it. In the past, when I got a new motherboard or had to disconnect the HDD for other reasons it would fail every single time, requiring me to reinstall windows. Since then I've gotten a new hard drive for my OS but keep the one that was failing for storage (it still working fine).
I'm wondering if there's anything I need to do to prevent the HDD from failing to work when I disconnect it from the motherboard?
