boosted1g,
Thanks for the diagrams. I had installed a new powersupply, but somehow the Power Switch becam
disconnected and computer was dead.
Now it boots up, but does not seem to be accessing the hard drive. Any suggestions?

boosted1g:
Yes, power cable secure. I tried going into the Bios Settings (F10) when it started to boot up. It does
show the hard drive with the correct amount of memory.
If I go into the CMOS Setup Utility, It shows the following:
Navidia Boot Agent 249.0542
CLIENT MAC ADDR: 00 10 92 A3 3D CO Guid: [a series of numbers]
DHCP ....[here there is a rotating slash with a blinking underline]

Doesn't mean a thing to me. Does it mean anything to you? Or anyone else?

boosted1g,

Before trying your fixes, I wanted to try using the o.s. disk to see whatever I could find out. While looking for it, I found a bootable disk for Partition Magic. After booting with this disk, I noticed that it showed no data on the hard drive, which would explain no boot. However, after reloading the O.S., It still would not boot by itself. I then tried your fixes. Lo & Behold, it now boots just fine by itself.

Thanks greatly for all of your help. It isn't often one finds a stranger (now a friend) who will go out of his way to help someone in need.

God bless you,

Norm
