Budget:
USD $200-300

System specs:

Motherboard:

Asus M5A97 (PCI-E 2.0)

CPU:

AMD FX-8120 8 core processor

Memory:

Corsair DDR3 PC3-10700H (667 MHz) (4 gigs x 4)

Graphics card:

Asus Radeon 5750HD (overclocked to 870 MHz from 700 MHz using CCC)

Summary of my question(s)

I'm looking to buy a new RADEON(preferrably Asus)<----- card that is considerably better but I don't want it to be so advanced that it is bottle-necked by the 2.0 PCI-E slot (I may be talking nonsense but it's the best i can do due to my limited knowledge of PC hardware)

Important side question:

I have 2 PCI-E 2.0 16x slots but one of them is labeled (x4 mode)

Will I get the full performance if I add a second card or should I just use one card until I get a motherboard with 2 standard PCI-E 16x slots?

And finally - how does choice of monitor affect the framerates I will get in a game if at all ;) thanks for reading my long post - I only buy a new video card every 4 or 5 years so I want to make this one count.

This purchase is only being made to improve my performance in my favorite game Planetside 2

+1 on the 760 recommendation, but how about this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745

Higher clock speed, higher reviews, same price, just as good if not better quality
