Hi all,

Have just built a new rig. Am getting occasional "power surge detected" errors.

I suspect it may be AI suite being pants? It's also sometimes not detecting a case fan.

Any thoughts? I doubt it's my brand new PSU, have heard uninstall it is this wise?

Specs.....(No overclocking)
Asus H87 Pro, i5 4670, 8gb (2x4) Corsair Veng, SEASONIC 550w 80 Plus Gold, 1tb Baracuda, Nvidia 460gtx.

(Was running fine for the first week or two)

Solution
I am certain this has something to do with Asus.

I also agree to syong. Usually re-installing AI Suite works fine.
Another thing you can do is to uninstall it completely and just install required important softwares.

You don't need all that Splashtop and Acceleration crap. Just install Realtek HD Audio Drivers, Asus Ethernet (Or Wireless if you have that functionality) controller and driver and some temperature monitoring / management softwares. Set the fan speeds on auto and no need to mess with it. You can not overclock that CPU due to H87 Motherboard and locked CPU .. So you have to settle with stock clock speeds till you change that motherboard and CPU.

I also have uninstalled my Gigabyte Disc stuff due to useless software it...

Hi Arcanon,
I did face this with my rampage iv ext previously. are you installing the AI suite from the media disc coming in the box? Suggest to download the latest version from internet and install it. It did solve my issue.

OK cool thank for this I will let you know how I get on! :) And its not a "k" see above it's just a straight 4670.

Just put the "no overcloking" bit in to stear answers away from me doing anything wierd power/voltage wise, as everything is just at stock.
