hello,

i was just wondering which Radeon GPU would have best compatibility with FX-4300? I mean neither should bottleneck the other and utilize power of each other optimally.

thank you!

edit: sorry if i am lazy, but i looked for the ans in the forums and didn't find relevant info :p

sorry, i should have mentioned these details beforehand:

i want to play games like Tomb Raider, SimCity, GTA IV at 1366 x 768. i don't mind medium details, but would of course prefer to have high details in lowest price. i am from india so i don't know how much the budget should be in $ but i was looking for a low price gpu (not more than INR 8k, which is roughly $120-$130).

thank you

The 7770 is a really good choice but it will definitely bottleneck the cpu in most of the games .
I would rather have gotten a 7870. This is a really good solution in my opinion:)
It also has 2gb vram which makes it futureproof

Pardon my thread digging, just trying to help out bypassers seeking good solutions.
If you think the 7770 bottlenecks the CPU why would the 7870 be a better choice? It's a more powerful GPU hence my doubts about your reply. I'm sorry if I'm incorrect, but it just seems illogical to me.

Hi, sry for late reply x) haven´t logged into tomshardware since then. What I ment is that the GPU will hinder the Performance of the GPU. So the 7870 would be a nice combo with the fx 4300, specially for the 2 gb of vram .

But from todays pov both of these two Items will be to weak to play new games properly. Maybe the 7870 can still keep up but the CPU ..... well, i dont think so. (But for older games these two are still good imo )
